Sorry , I was just looking at a picture and it shows the 10 spark plug coils just towards the center of the engine behind the valve covers
Your distrbuter or bad plug wires The V10 does not have a distrbuter or plug wires. It does have what we call COP or coil over plug. The V10 has a history of the #9 coil issues. Check with your tech to trouble shoot coils. Sometimes, it's not the coil but the coil harness.
disconect the coil and remove the 7mm bolt that holds down the coil, remove the coil then plug.
check for a cable comming out of the transmission even if its electronic
No... You can get a 6.2L or 6.7L both are v8's.

Yes it has to come off to get your socket around the spark plug. It should have come out when you pulled off the coil. Get some needlenose pliers to reach in and grab it. Use silicon grease to coat the inside next to spark plug when you put it back on to keep that from happening again.

the 4.6L and 5.4L Ford V-8's and 6.8L V-10's have one coil pack for each cylinder or spark plug. You need to remove the 7mm hex head bolt and unplug the coil pack from the wiring harness, then remove the coil pack unit from the spark plug hole and do an ohm test that is the only way to test these.
