Beings I at first ask this question here, and it appeared to be some great mystery that no one could answer, I decided to ask the question, and then come back and give the answer, to help others! The Crank Sensor is on the backside of the engine. It is right below the the temperature gauge sensor (temp sensor has a bright green wire running to it). The easiest way to get to it is raise the front of the car and get to it from underneath. Remove the 8 mm bolt, spray some penetrating oil on it and let it soak (the sensor has a rubber o-ring on it that may stick). Genitally, twist while pulling the sensor. If it gets stuck, it is very fragile, don't pry on it, it will break and then you will have to chisel it out. Trust me!

Now why I asked the question in the first place. The car was running fine, and it acted like it had sucked up some bad fuel (water) or bad fuel pump. It ran rough for a couple minutes then shut down and wouldn't restart. Went back the following morning to retrieve car. It started up and ran for about a minute and a half, and acted like bad fuel or fuel pump again. No Check Engine light. Brought car home. Checked fuel pump pressure and it was reading low. Replaced fuel pump, fuel and fuel filter. Once again would start up run for a minute or two, start running rough then shut down. Still no Check Engine light. Put OBD code reader on and was advised was cam sensor error code PO340 and a couple transmission codes (PO700 and PO725). Replaced cam sensor with new, cleared codes. Now would not run at all with no fire from coil pack. With key on could hear relays for fuel pump and injectors rapidly kicking in and out. Checked codes again came up with PO 340 code again. This did not seem right. Replace the coil pack. Still no fire. Running out parts to replace, I came on here and asked this question, and could find no answers. I looked all over the engine and bell housing and found the crank sensor. I replaced the crank sensor cleared the cam sensor code and it fired right up. Never once did the Check Engine light come on. If you have a car that is running rough, shutting down, no fire, and no check engine light, like I did and after much trial and error, this would be an excellent place to start!
