I have a 99 cavalier. The drain plug for mine is in the bottom right corner of the radiator as you are facing the front of the car. You attach a rubber hose to the side and turn the plug counter clockwise to open it. I don't know if a 97 is the same, but cavaliers don't seem to change too much from one year to the next.
Either at the bottom or the rear of the radiator

There should be a radiator drain on bottom right side. turn it until it stops then pull out on it.
There isn't one, you have to take off the lower radiator hose.
Some radiators dont have a drain plug and the ones that do is hard to reach. Its easier and quicker to remove the lower radiator hose. (passenger side,below the engine)

There should be a drain valve on the radiator on the bottom passengers side If not just undo the bottom radiator hose.

Place something to catch the engine coolant beneath your 1990 Chevy Corsica radiator. Remove the radiator drain plug with a 9/16 ratchet. The engine coolant will drain out.
The 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier radiator drain petcock is located on the bottom of the radiator. The drain will be towards the right side of the radiator.
The radiator drain plug is located on the drivers side of the car on the front bottom corner of the radiator. It should be visible through the grill on the front bumper
The drain plug on the 2003 Chevy Venture is located on the bottom edge of the radiator. It is on the side facing the engine.
