The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve on a 2004 5.3L Vortec engine is typically located on the intake manifold, near the rear of the engine. It is connected to the exhaust system via a tube that allows exhaust gases to be recirculated back into the intake. To access it, you may need to remove some components, such as the engine cover or air intake duct. Always consult a repair manual for specific instructions and diagrams related to your vehicle.
