Some models of the 2004 325i do not have an external fuel filter. They only have a filter inside the gas tank which is never replaced. These models I am told can be identified by having a steel gas tank. Have your dealer run the VIN to see if yours is one of these. I am not exactaly sure where the filter is for that specific car but should be as easy as find the gas line from the tank and follow it till you hit the enlargment in the tube where u can un cap it and take out the filter to replace it
