The answer below is correct on the location of the fuel filter but you do need a special tool to remove the filter. You can purchase this tool at any auto parts store for about 3 to 8 dollars. I bought the cheaper one which worked but it was a little difficult remove the old filter. I found it under the car. Poke your head under the car around the driver's door area. You'll find the fuel line and in that area is the metal in-line filter. I don't know how to remove it, but it appears its not something you can do without special tools and know-how.
