hi, the fuel filter is located just under the brake fluid container next to the master cylinder. the filter is not expensive and is very easy to change, i know because i have done it to my 95 villager. you out...
standing in front of car looking at engine, it is on the right side on firewall. big silver cylinder with rubber line coming out of top and bottom. Walmart i think carries them.
You would have to be more specific regarding which filter you are talking about.
I looked at the Mercury Villager Owner Guides from ( 1996 , 1999 , and 2002 ) With engine oil filter change : Each Owner Guide shows ( 4.2 U.S. quarts )
Really? Unclip the cover and remove the old filter. It's easy.
According to the 2000 Mercury Villager Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change the 3.3 litre V6 engine takes : ( 4.0 litres / 4.2 US. quarts of 5W-30 engine oil )
I assume it is the same as the ( 1996 ) Mercury Villager : With engine oil filter change : ( 4.2 US. quarts of 5W-30 engine oil )
without oil filter 3.7 quarts with oil filter 4.2 quarts
A screwdriver and a 10mm socket wrench.
The filter is located behind the RH side of the carbon canister under the hood.
According to the ( 1996 ) Mercury Villager Owner Guide : With engine oil filter change : The 3.0L V6 engine takes ( 4.2 U.S. quarts / 5W-30 PREFERRED )
The same way you do on any other vehicle. Drain the oil, remove the filter, replace, refill.
According to the 2001 Mercury Villager Owner Guide : For the 3.3 liter V6 engine : With engine oil filter change : ( 4.2 US. quarts of 5W-30 engine oil )
Bottom front of engine.
