I have a 2004 Sonata. The owners manual says to change the full filter at 52000 miles but I was tolled by my mechanic that the full filter is in the gas tank and not serviceable.
The fuel filter is in a difficult place to access. Look down under the brake master cylinder, up against the firewall.
On all Sonata's from 2004 on the fuel filter is in the fuel tank. The fuel pump is mounted inside it and according to the dealer it is a "life time" filter that they only change when replacing the pump or if fuel was contaminated.
repair or replace fuel filter on a 2001 Hyundai sonata
From a Hyundai dealer technician- there is no serviceable fuel filter on the 2003 Sonata. The filter is a "lifetime" strainer on the fuel pump in the fuel tank. It would be replaced with the replacement of the fuel pump only. how do you replace fuel pump on the 2003 sonata
The fuel filter on a 2002 Hyundai Sonata is located just outside the fuel tank. It is positioned inline along the frame of the vehicle to protect it.
The fuel filter is located against the firewall on the right side next to the power steering fluid
The 2004 Hyundai Sonata runs on regular unleaded.
under the fuel tank
It is inside the fuel tank.
I have replaced the battery coils alternator fuel pump and all but my car still will not start now I'm hearing something about relay switch or cam shaft does it have a fuel filter?
If you follow the fuel line from the fuel tank to the engine you will find the fuel filter unless it is a permanent filter that is located in the fuel tank. I suspect you will find it has a permanent filter.
The fuel filter on a 2004 Dodge Durango is inside the fuel tank. It does not have an external filter.
