A suction line filter is added to the system for a different purpose than the liquid line dryer. A suction line filter is added:A : to keep acidic oil in the system from working its way back into the new compressor.B because the suction makes the acid removal better.C because the suction line is cold and full of acid.D all of the above.
A desiccant-filled filter/dryer (dehydrator) is installed in the refrigerant liquid line to remove moisture. Otherwise water and the refrigerant can combine to form an acid which would be corrosive to the compressor, to the tubing and to the specialty fittings.
Filter drier is used in an A/C system to take moisture out of the system. It is installed on the liquid line.
There is no fuel filter located in line. The only fuel filter is located in the fuel tank.

In the carb. housing where the line enters. Take the line out and there is your filter paper,or composite.
The oriface tube on this vehicle is crimped into the liquid line that is located on the passenger side. The whole line must be replaced, but it is relatively cheap. Just did mine this weekend with a new dryer and compresssor.
