A picture shouldn't be necessary. Open the trunk, and you should see a black plastic knob on a brass shaft sticking out of the carpeting on the passenger's side. Turn that counter-clockwise to bypass.

The Fiero Store (www.fierostore.com) has a picture of a red Fiero notchback that appears in it's picture cycles that is a hardtop convertible. You might have to hit refresh a few times but it does appear in the middle picture as they cycle through. It could be done just like any other convertible conversion on a Fiero. The underside of the body would have to be braced first, as if the frame is cut in any manner without the bracing and the drivetrain is still in the body the chassis will flex. As the rear clip is easily removable, it would just be a matter of combining the upper portion of the fiberglass roof, the rear window, and the upper portion of the rear clip into a latchable unit that could be removed from the inside. Latches could be obtained from any common convertible in a salvage yard (Sebring, LeBaron, etc.) Any way it goes it would require significant work. Source: Have owned four Fieros over ten years.
