The reversing light switch on the mondeo is on the gearbox. if you put the car up on ramps go under the car to the back of the engine on the passenger side there is a 17mm or 19mm nut with 2 wires in it. That's the reversing switch. Just disconnect the cable from the switch and undo the nut it will come out as 1 unit like a bolt. To replace do the same in reverse . DON'T ATTEMP TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE WITH THE SWITCH OUT IT WILL LOSE GEARBOX FLUID. (NOT GOOD) have a friend to take u to the shop for a new one. Hope this helps
