The sensor on the 1994 Chevy Caprice is located on the transmission. it is mounted on the tail shaft of the transmission.
Crankshaft sensors were not used in 1994 models.

On a 1994 Caprice, it is under the hood, drivers' side front under the Mass Air Flow Sensor. I don't know about a 94 but for my 95 it is underneath the dashboard in between the steering column and to the left of the ashtray.
