Before you start remove negative lead to battery!! The starter is located at the bottom of the intake manifold. As for taking it out I found that the least complicated way to do this is by removing the air intake (Black plastic part leading up to the throttle body) Then you can look directly at the starter from above (the manual says to drain the coolant then remove the intake manifold) but it can be done without doing that, it will just take a little more time what you can't reach from above you can get from below. See which way works best for you. Hope this helps.

If you still have the factory radio make sure you have your radios code before you disconnect the neg terminal. Because it wont work without the factory code when the neg terminal is put back on.
