The ecm is located under the front passenger seat on my wife's 2000 Daewoo Lanos. This is an American version of the car.
To check the transmission fluid on a Daewoo Lanos 2000 you have to get to the back side of the engine from underneath. The way we did it was to put the car on a lift.

To change the knock sensor in a 2000 Daewoo Lanos, first, disconnect the battery to ensure safety. Locate the knock sensor, which is typically found on the engine block or cylinder head, and remove the electrical connector. Unscrew the old sensor using a socket wrench, then install the new sensor by reversing the process, making sure to torque it to the manufacturer's specifications. Finally, reconnect the battery and check for any engine codes or issues.
4 quarts is what I use.
The temperature gauge in a 2000 Daewoo Lanos may not work due to a faulty temperature sensor, which provides readings to the gauge. Additionally, there could be issues with the wiring or connections between the sensor and the gauge, leading to a lack of signal. A blown fuse or a malfunctioning gauge itself could also be potential causes. Checking these components systematically can help identify the issue.
