The speedometer sensor on a 1998 Jeep Cherokee Sport is typically located on the transmission. Specifically, it can be found on the tail housing of the transmission, where it connects to the vehicle's speedometer cable or electronic speed sensor. To access it, you may need to lift the vehicle and remove any necessary components for better visibility. Always consult a repair manual for detailed instructions and safety precautions.
