If my memory serves me correctly, it's a black 8 pronged cap (looks like a boat steering wheel) on black canister, located on the drivers side of the engine bay. Be sure to follow the cold or hot indicator marks.

The transmission is sealed and there is no dipstick. The fluid is unique and expensive and can only be added under the car.
For a 1991 Volvo 740, the recommended transmission fluid is typically Dexron III automatic transmission fluid. It's important to check the owner's manual or consult with a mechanic to confirm the specific type needed for your vehicle, especially if any modifications have been made. Always ensure the fluid meets the necessary specifications to maintain optimal performance and longevity of the transmission.
The timing chain is slowly set as the mechanic tightens the thread.
bad head gasket.
try changing the crank shaft sensor, which is located on the firewall on the 1991 740 non turbo sedan,i had the same problem and just about a month ago had to replace it.
20% of 740 is 148. 20% OUT of 740 would be 592.
100% = 740 10% = 74 5% = 37 740 - 74 - 37 = 740 - 111 = 629
740 K could mean: 740,000 (number: the "k" stands for "thousand") 740 degrees k (temperature) 740 * k (in maths, to multiply 740 and k together)
740 is composite.
