I can tell you for certain where it is on a 88, I just replaced mine and it did no good, but anyhow to answer your question; pop the hood, on the passenger side, bolted to the side, right beside the battery is a black box about the size of a cigarette pack. Connected to that from the bottom is a green and a brown relay. The green one is your fuel pump relay.
