The best oil you can use in your vehicle is the oil that is recommended by the manufacturer. Use that weight oil and no other way. The brand of oil you use is your choice. Just pick a name brand oil as they are all excellent lubricants.
There is no better. Each oil is designed for a specific application. Use exactly what is recommended by the manufacture.
It flows better in cold conditions.
It is recommended to use 10W30 oil in colder temperatures during the winter months as it flows more easily at lower temperatures compared to 10W40 oil, which is better suited for warmer temperatures.
motor oil. higher viscosity better for hot weather, lower for winter
Yes you can use 5W20 oil instead of 5W30. One is just thicker then the other. The 5W20 is better in the winter and the 5W30 is better in the summer.
REDLINE 5W-30 (NONE BETTER)
For a 2007 Toyota Camry, the recommended winter oil is typically 5W-30 or 0W-20, depending on the engine type. The 0W-20 oil provides better performance in colder temperatures due to its lower viscosity. Always check your owner's manual for specific recommendations and consider synthetic oil for improved engine protection in winter conditions.
For a 1998 Mercedes ML320, it's recommended to use synthetic oil, particularly a 5W-30 or 10W-30 viscosity grade, during winter months. Synthetic oil performs better in cold temperatures, ensuring easier starts and better lubrication when the engine is cold. Always check the owner’s manual for specific recommendations based on your climate and driving conditions.
Use motorcycle specific 20W-50 engine oil. In colder climates, especially for winter riding, 10W-40 may be a better choice.
10W30 if you get winter. If you dont get winter then 10W40.
it will float better in winter
Pontiac oil pressure can be tricky! Check with your mechanic first but from my experience with my Pontiac use 10w-40 oil in the winter and 20w-50 in the summer. That has produced better pressure in mine.
