Usually it means the headlight switch is going bad.
It does control the alternators charging of the battery.
Not sure about 2002, but on a 2004 intrepid, you have to take right front tire off. There is a panel in the wheel well that you use to access the battery.
Passenger side front wheel well has a compartment where battery is located.
The same way you started it before replacing the battery.
Check your battery cables. I had same issue
Could be a battery problem, discharged, dead or dirty/loose battery connections.
Any place that sells batteries can tell you what size battery to purchase.
yes
the easy way i found is to hook a battery charger up to the jumper contacts
Behind and below the passenger side headlight assembly. You also must remove the air filter to get to the battery; it also helps to remove the front wheel well to make it easier to get to the battery. It a pain to get to on the Intrepid but it's possible.
The horn location under the hood of a 1997 Intrepid is next to the battery. It is on the passenger side of the engine, bolted to the fender wall. The battery must be removed to access the horn.
To jump start a 2003 Dodge Intrepid, first, ensure both vehicles are turned off. Connect the positive (red) jumper cable to the positive terminal of the dead battery, then attach the other end to the positive terminal of the working battery. Next, connect the negative (black) cable to the negative terminal of the working battery and attach the other end to a grounded metal surface on the Intrepid, away from the battery. Start the working vehicle and then attempt to start the Intrepid.
