Because heat from the engine is responsible for heating the heater coil which the motor blows air through. it is indeed connected to the engine cooling system which in most cases like a radiator inside your dashboard. On most vehicles when you turn on the engine, it is the only time you can use the heater but identical to it are some systems which use heater coils just like the ones you see inside a handy heat blower.
If it's cold outside do you want cold air blasting when you get in your car?
40f - 45f is great
no because if you ever think to get one wen it rains and lightnings and you have to get in your car the electric heater is going to blow you up and have your hair lookin like einstein. DONT TRY IT
Simple, you ac does not blow cold air even though you have it turned on and the temperature set to cold.
Coming out of the vents around 43 degrees
If it is a LUXURY type vehicle- heaters are designed not to turn on until water temperature is warmed to the point of producing heat so they do not blow cold air into passenger compartment. The colder it is outside the longer it takes to warm the water to produce heat
It is probably the heater control valve that is the problem.
The heating system doesn't get heat until the car warms up and the thermostat opens.
If you have the car window(s) open or the car air conditioners on, turn them off when you get cold. If none of the things listed above are turned on in the first place, turn the heat on. If you don't have any car heaters, perhaps you can buy a coat somewhere. turn the heater on...
The car hit a stationary vehicle.
The car was stationary due to an accident stopping traffic.
if you look to thte left of your pedals you will see the cover which is attached to the radio and dashboard etc, pull it off and you will see the wire and the bit of plastic it attached to , the wire will have come loose but you can adjust the heater to cold or hot from there but you have to keep the cover off. i hope this helped.
