The 2500 Cummins Turbo might have a sticky transmission because the oil viscosity is wrong.
The automatic is a 48 RE. The manual is a NV5600.

the 400 turbo is made for more pulling that's whats in my 85 gmc 2500 its just a heavy very expensive transmission.
It will be a 350 turbo if its a half ton. 400 turbo if its a 2500 or 3500 NEUTZ
if it has a gas engine such as a 5.2 or 5.9 or a V10 then yes.if it has the cummins turbo diesel no you cant chip a cummins unless it is a 1998.5 year model or later
