How many miles is on the engine. Too many miles may indicate a loose engine and I would recommend a synthetic blend instead. First, if using 5w30 switch to 10w30 might help. Before switching and changing the oil filter, suggest adding a quart of Rislone for a couple of hundred miles to clean up lifters if it is lifter chatter you are hearing. Also, do not know if you have adjustable valve lash which could cause the "chitter" you hear.

Answer 2:

There should be no benefit to switching to 10w30 from 5w30. They are both the same viscosity when at operating temperature. If anything the 5w30 would be better because it has better cold flow ability compared to the 10w30.

5W-30 try a synthetic blend since your car is newer ***Synthetic blend is not necessary in this engine, and the only benefit that you will see from the use of synthetic fluid is the ability to go longer in between oil changes. Due to the cost of synthetic oil, the existence of little or any benefit is arguable. Use, at the most, a synthetic-blended 5W-30 engine oil.
