It is the distance between floorboard and pedal top, when the brake pedal is fully depressed (after applying brakes).
It is located under the dashboard next to the shaft for the brake pedal. Put your head on the floorboard and look straight up.
Put your head on the drivers side floorboard. Look straight up by the brake pedal and you will see a white box, this is your comp. module. Your code will be a large bold 5 digit number
The brake light switch is out of adjustment.
The PCM for the 89 Bronco is located on the firewall on the driver side. You can access it from inside the cab, behind the parking brake pedal.
A soft brake pedal after bleeding the brakes on a 1990 Ford Bronco can be caused by several issues. One possibility is that there is still air trapped in the brake lines or calipers, which can happen if the bleeding process was not thorough. Additionally, a leak in the brake system, such as in the master cylinder or brake lines, could lead to a loss of hydraulic pressure, resulting in a soft pedal. Lastly, worn brake components, like pads or calipers, may also contribute to this problem.
look on the driver side firewall by the brake pedal
Attached to the brake pedal itself... if the pedal goes up towards the dash, you'll see it at the top of the pedal by the linkage... it's a simple contact switch. If the pedal goes into the floorboard, you'll have to open the hood and see where it goes through the floor... again, just a simple contact switch.
If you are driving and need to brake, but find your brake pedal is getting closer and closer to the floorboard, you need the check your fluid. Eventually your brakes will not have enough fluid to create the pressure needed to apply the brake pads properly and you risk accidents.
if your ligjts don't come on unbolt the switch just above the brake pedal, if your lights stay on its actually a switch bumper thats om the pedal noted by broken plastic on your floorboard usually blue I just loosened the switch and moved it closer to my pedal no problem since
My 1991 Full Size Ford Bronco has the fuel cut off on the driver side. Behind the Brake Pedal look just to the left of the Brake Pedal and up. It's mounted on the firewall Just above the Carpet. Press the Red Button on the top to RESET.
Under the brake pedal. Looking up at the pedal you will see the switch it is srewed to the dash and rests on the metal arm of the pedal when you press the brake pedal the switch close's and the brake lights come on. To replace the switch it is very straight forward just remove the srew from the dash separate the wire and replace..
