There is a low oil level sensor in the side of the oil pan. It is most likely defective.

The PVC valve on a 1994 impala is located on the valve cover. It is close to the dip stick end.
on the majority of cars the light is for oil pressure not the actual level so it could just be reading on the dip stick and the light wont necceserly come on
It shows the shape of the molecule
Take a look at the oil level. Pull the dip stick and check where the oil level is. You may only be low in oil. Is the engine tapping? If not, take a look at the oil pressure switch. Does it have alot of oil around it? You may want to replace it. If you do have a tap in the engine, you may want to have the oil pump checked for output pressure. Hope this helps.
You can find it by looking for the red handle coming from the transmission.
Add oil to engine until level correct on stick.
To level up (whether you're a vampire or not) requires the use of a level, a yard-stick shaped tool with small fluid filled tubes in them. The tubes are slightly curved and contain a bubble that shows when the 'level' is actually level. Carpenters use them all the time.
The light stick in hot water will glow the brightest as the heat increases the rate of the chemical reaction, producing more light. The light stick in ice water will glow dimmer as the cold temperature slows down the reaction. The stick at room temperature will produce light at a moderate level compared to the other two.
it depends on the stile of rim you use and how far you are willing for the tire to stick outside the body lines.... my tip is go look for rims that fit the impala.
