Are you using the key or the remote? If the key, you may be not turning off the alarm so it goes off.

The key for the door must be put in the door and unlock it. On my Lincoln the driver side lock is messed up so i lock the passenger side door and use the key to unlock it and the alarm goes off. If it does not stop disconect the battery.

My 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee has the issue that if I lock all the doors with the automatic lock. I can't unlock the door on the driver side with the key without the Security Alarm going off. To resolve this issue, I have to go to the passenger side, unlock the door there with the key, then go around to the driver side and open the door on the driver side with the key.
On mine I had to lock the doors back and unlock them from the passanger side. If that fails the alternate door is the back hatch door turn it two times to deactivate alarm. lock the driver side door with the key and unlk again all while door is shut of coarse On mine since I dont have the remote I have to put the key in the drivers side door, turn it 2x to the right to disarm the alarm, then once to the left to unlock the door. Works every time.
Use the key to unlock the driver side door. This will reset the alarm and the starter cutoff. i took the modul that chimes for doors out and mine stop the alarm.
