Rings around one or more of the pistons have worn down to the point of letting the piston 'SLAP' around in the cylinder. So it is called 'piston slap'. It gets louder as the engine goes faster so you may not be able to hear it at idle.
The only remedy I know if is a ring job. Otherwise you'll just have to drive slow and pour more and more oil into the engine between oil changes.
Most likely broken motor mounts.
When you accelerate. you are putting presure on the main engine barrens. if they are going bad. You will hear this knocking sound. I don't know how many miles you have on this engine. But that's what it sounds like. But that's not all that can make this sound. You will have to tell more about it and when it started. Did it just start all at once? or did it start and then get louder?
My question is: What sound does a lion make ? Roar.
Neenor. neenor.neenor.
When only the back windows are down, they make a thumping sound because of the air tightness of the car's cabin. Roll down a front window slightly and this will go away.
Check the transmission fluid level for the kicking into gear problem, and check the brakes for the rubbing sound.
Year, make and model would help.
No.
start by checking wheel bearings. not enough info for a good diag.
Year, make, model, engine size, etc. does help. Possible engine mount, u-joint differential, trany, etc...
molecules in hot water possess a high kinetic energy that is why vibrate vigorously when hot water is dropped from height on the floor the molecules of water transfer their energy to that of floor as a result floors molecules start vibrating, may be that is why we hear this thumping sound.
because the engine is starting to run.
