Car alarms may activate when using indicators or hazard lights due to a wiring issue or a sensitivity setting in the alarm system. Some alarms are designed to respond to electrical signals, and if the system is overly sensitive, the activation of indicators can inadvertently trigger the alarm. Additionally, if there is a fault in the alarm's installation or wiring, it may misinterpret signals from the vehicle's lighting system as a security threat.
If you're talking about the alarm that is the same as the panic alarm, i have the same problem. I rear-ended someone a while ago and ever since then, my alarm has been going off randomly, apparently because the hood switch is defunct, setting off the alarm at random. The way I fixed it, although i don't recommend it, is to remove the fuses for the hazard lights and the alarm siren. POSSIBLE SOLUTION: Unplug the following fuses: The hazard lights fuse is in the fuse box inside the car, read HAZARD. The alarm siren fuse is in the fuse box under the hood, read ECU. Unfortunately, you won't have any visible or audible indication you locked or unlocked the doors anymore. Even more importantly, you won't be able to use your hazard lights unless you plug it in again when needed (if you have time). I think it's illegal to drive without hazard lights available, because it could be dangerous. Currently, I have those fuses plugged in and I'm just unplugging the main fuse to turn off the whole fuse system when i park for long periods of time, to not drain my battery, until i find a better solution. Hope this helped!
I have a '03 and there is an alarm if you leave tour lights on.

Most likely your alarm ecu has broken loose from the mounted position, if its loose and gets knocked around. It will turn on the hazard lights, thinking that you have had a impact related to an accident. Easy check remove the trim panel below the glove box. and look for a green box maybe 1" thick by 5" long. give it a wiggle and see if it moves. If so simply get some zip-ties and strap the box down so it cant get knocked around.

The hazard lights came on after the dip in the road, mostly cause by the alarm control unit coming loose and getting knocked around, which will trigger the lights..thinking the vechicle has been in an accident. Remove the trim panel below the glove box and look for a green box maybe 1"thick and 4" long. it will be loose and just hanging by the wiring. Best fix is to secure it with tape or zip ties so it cant be knocked around. Best of Luck
disconnect battery
Sounds like your security alarm has been triggered. Take the keys out of the ignition, get our of the car, close the door and lock and unlock it WITH THE KEY. Then try starting.

If the hazard lights on your Renault Clio won't turn off, it could be due to a faulty switch or a malfunction in the electrical system. Check to ensure that the hazard light switch isn't stuck or damaged. Additionally, there may be an issue with the relay or fuses related to the hazard light system. If the problem persists, it's advisable to consult a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.
