If the signal light on a 1997 C280 isn't working, it could be due to several reasons. Common issues include a blown fuse, a faulty turn signal relay, or burned-out bulbs. Additionally, wiring issues or a malfunctioning switch could also cause the signal light to fail. Checking these components systematically can help identify and resolve the problem.
Sounds like a blown bulb somewhere on the righthand signal side.
any luck? I have the same problem with my 1997 C280. It mostly comes and goes with the rain, but not always.
Check the signal light fuse, the signal light relay, and the signal light switcher.
If the turn signal bulbs light but will not flash, the flasher relay is defective, replace it.
signal light
the turn signal switch is probably bad
I have a 2000 olds alero and the signal light only work sometimes, What would cause that?
first thing i would check would be all the fuses. then the light switch
Assuming that you have checked all your fuses and they are ok, then you may have a short. I found one at my front passenger side signal light, when i turned the bulb holder my bulbs would start working.
.
You first should check the fuse for the radio and make sure it is not out. It may be that your radio has gone bad and may need to get a new one.
A bad ground.
