Did you disconnect the antenna lead?
You must buy a Ford Factory Stereo Removal Tool. then pull the radio forward and unplug the wiring in the back.
It is located in the dash left of the radio, pull the radio facing off the main radio out and directly to the left.
It pull's off and snaps back on.
you will see two holes in each side of the radio, insert standard radio pins in here and the radio will pull out
you will see 2 holes in each side of the radio, insert standard radio pins into these and the radio will pull out
You pull the old one out and put the new one in. #31
FORD RADIO REMOVALYou should purchase a set of ford radio removal tools .. they slide in on both sides of the radio in the two holes.Once you insert them push in on them about half an inch and you should feel them catch,,then pry out ward slightly on both tools this will release the radio and pull forward .. your done.
There is a tool that fits into the two holes on either side of the radio. You use the tool to pull the radio out. You need two tools, one for each side.
put pins in the radio bend out ward and pull
Take a coat hanger, break it into four parts, insert the four hanger parts into the square slots on the 4 corners of the radio simulatanously and pull the radio out.
You have to go to your local walmart or audio store because they make a special tool take to the radio out its like a u-shape and you take that and put on both sides of the radio and pull the radio out
go to your parts store and ask for the Ford Radio Removal Tools, about $5, two U shaped prongs that go into the 2 holes on each side of Ford radios to release the clips on side of the radio so you can pull it out.
