some car alarms have a backup battery in them. thses batteries if worn out can stop the alarm working.also sometimes the battery in the remote needs replacing to work
check the remote and the connections in the vehicle..or mabey you bought a faulty alarm system.
yes
Its possible that the remote itself is just bad. or that maybe the car needs to be re-programmed with the remote. either way best place would be a Renault dealership. Another suggestion is to go to an audio / alarm installation shop as they have key-less entry and remote start systems they can install.
Assuming the switches are still working, the factory alarm should shut off if you unlock either the drivers door or liftgate with the key.
The alarm is usually under the dash on the outside wall of the interior, just unplug the big white "plug" holding all the colour wires.... it will DEARM the alarm and you can still drive away without a hitch. All above is not applicable IF your alarm has a starter kill, in that case you will need to reconnect your ignition wires.
Yes, you can have a separate car remote even if your vehicle originally came with a key that has a built-in remote. Many vehicles allow you to program a standalone remote fob to work with the car’s locking and alarm system, while still using the original key just for starting the engine. This can be useful if the built-in remote stops working or if you want a backup without replacing the entire key. Just make sure the separate remote is compatible with your vehicle’s system.
Unplug your battery, then plug it back on
To repair the remote power central locking system on a Seat Cordoba CLX, first, check the remote battery and replace it if necessary. Inspect the fuses related to the central locking system and replace any that are blown. If the remote still doesn’t work, examine the wiring and connections for any damage or corrosion. Finally, reprogram the remote if required, following the vehicle's manual instructions.
Could the condition be caused by using the remote locking while still inside the auto?
I think that on your VP commodore when you say that the central locking is not working that the problem is with the rear doors, and when this happens the problem is when the solenoid on the door lock assembly has given out,so make sure that all of the wiring to the doors is good, plus the remote is working right then ,if still not working go to the wreckers and get a rear door lock mechanism out of a VS commodore and the newer part should work.
Our Holden vp commodore sedans central locking will not unlock all four doors. The remote has a new battery and still doesnt work can you please help us
I am not sure. I have pressed the remote on my keys, but none of the car doors open. I have already had the battery replaced on the remote, which was flat, but when pressed, the doors still won't open. What do I do/
