Rims get hot due to brakes getting heated. Most vehicles have disc brakes in the driver's side front. Disc brakes have 3 major parts, pads, calipers and disc rotors. If your brake pads have worn down you can be causing scrapes or scratches into the rotors. Heavily using the brakes can also cause the rotors and the pads to become "glazed" over due to heat.
You could use a slice of lemon on the side or on the rim of the cup as a garnish for hot tea.
Loose tire rim?
Check the driver side door . There is a sticker on the edge of the door , below the latch that will give you the rim size . It does on my 1997 Blazer anyways .

check the driver side door jam, factory spec, 195/75R14 for a 14.5 rim
Your driver rim and brakes can get too hot to touch due to excessive friction generated during braking, especially if the brakes are applied frequently or forcefully. This heat can be exacerbated by worn brake pads, which reduce their effectiveness, or by insufficient cooling airflow around the braking system. Additionally, heavy loads or driving down steep inclines can increase the heat generated. Overheating can lead to brake fade, reduced performance, and potential damage if not addressed.
If it is just that rim, your brakes could be dragging.Inspect,or have them inspected by a Chevrolet dealer or an ASE certified mechanic.
To measure a bike rim accurately, use a tape measure to determine the diameter of the rim from one side to the other, excluding the tire. Measure from the inner edge of the rim on one side to the inner edge on the opposite side. This measurement will give you the accurate size of the bike rim.
it depends on the size of the rim and tire. read the side of your tire it will say the psi. or open your driver door, look down to the door jam. there will be a sticker with tire pressure information for the stock rim and tire setup.
Four things come to mind. You either have a bent rim, bad bearings, the wheel is loose or the ball joints are bad.
