My wife had the same problem, no heat when idle and blow cold air.. when driving the heat was fine.. Checked the antifreeze level and it was low.. got it topped off and that has brought the heat back at idle... hope that helps

it could be thermostat stuck open ,low antifreeze, also could be ambiance temperature sensor,or the actual temperature controls on your heat and cool panel in the car.I have also seen a cadi that the heater core would clog up from deposits and would not heat but it did not bother the cars cooling as far as radiator,just would blow cold air .also check all your fuses.
The control for the heat on the dash has a control for the back seat and also has a setting that says something like "Rear Control". This allows the passengers in the back seat to control their heat independently via a temperature control in the back seat (on the back of the center console). So you could have the heat on in the front and the rear on "rear control" and if the passenger in the back has set their control to cold, it wold blow cold air in the back even though you have the heat on in the front.
