Ah, finally a question I have very good knowledge on. The tranny for the 2.3 and 2.6 litre engines were the same, and didn't change from those years. I believe it may even work with the V6 tranny going to a I-4 or vice versa. But I wouldn't recommend it. But for transfers between vehicles with the same engine type, no problem. Bolts right up. Pretty easy job too. If it's manual, I'd recommend changing the clutch while you have it all opened up down there anyways. From 1984 or 85 and up though, the 5 speed manuals didn't really change and I don't think the auto's did either.

Locked forever as in abused or worse? Not enuff about it to get a competent answer.
The best way to confirm the type of transmission fluid to use in a 1989 Isuzu pick up is to refer to the owner manual. A retailer who sells the transmission fluid will be able to advise the correct purchase.
Should be the same
To find pictures of a 1989 Isuzu Trooper belts diagram, you can start by searching online using specific keywords like "1989 Isuzu Trooper belts diagram" in search engines or on automotive forums. Websites like Google Images, automotive repair manuals, and forums dedicated to Isuzu vehicles may have the diagrams you need. Additionally, checking resources like YouTube for repair videos or visiting websites like Haynes or Chilton can also be helpful. If you're unable to find them online, consider visiting a local library or auto parts store for printed manuals.
