Yes, if you have a fuel pressure regulator.
No it will not. Now it will bolt right in there but the transmission will not work and the fuel pump in the fuel tank has to much fuel pressure for a carburetor
The simple answer is yes, but it is tricky. The 350 with TBI has an intank pump set to produce low pressure about 13-15lbs. There is an integral fuel regulator in the TBI unit that limits running pressure to about 13lbs. This pump is also a "push type" pump, meaning it needs to be near to the fuel supply - in fact actually immersed in the fuel is best. You must get a fuel pump that does both push and pull to mount out on the frame as it will 1st need to bring fuel up out of the tank into the pump and then push it on to the TBI unit - all at the approx correct pressure. In addition, you must move the pump wiring so that the pump is primed automatically for 2 seconds when the key is turned on etc - just like the intank one. Finally, if the in-line pump draws more amperage to run (because it now is doing more work to go both ways), then you may blow fuses or burn up existing wiring. A lot of work for maybe no benefit, if you are just trying to sidestep replacing the intank pump.
it will work but you have to use a pressure regulator in line so you can set the fuel pressure down to 6 psi. for the carburetor
If pump not coming on: 1. Fuse 2. the pump itself 3. maybe a relay if you hear pump come on 1. clogged fuel filter 2. clogged fuel pump screen 3. problem with injectors / carburetor
depends on the style of bronco, if it is fuel injected check the fuses in the truck and the relay's under the hood. if it still doesn't work drop the fuel tank and replace the fuel pump. if it has a carburetor the fuel pump is on the passenger side of the motor twarde the front.
yes you can just change intake but then you have to figure out a new way to get fuel to it stock pump wont work
you will need to replace the intake with an intake for a carburetor, install carburetor and replace the distributor with one which has a vacuum advance(a late 70's 305 or 350 will work well). you will also have to install an electric fuel pump for a carburetor (lower pressure than the fuel injecton). remove the relay powering the pump in the tank if the whole wiring harness is not removed.
If you can get it to start with starting fluid, then you're getting spark and air. Check your carb to make sure that the jets are working correctly and you're getting fuel. Is your fuel pump intank or on the side of the block? If you haven't replaced the fuel line from the pump to the carb, I'd suggest you do so.
If the relay is bad, then the fuel pump will not work.
A 1999 Ford is fuel injected, it does not have a carburetor.
The fuel pump is located in the gas tank. The gas tank needs to be drained before removing the fuel pump. This usually means removing the tank entirely first before doing any work with the fuel pump. The fuel pump on a 1987 Omni is located on the front of the engine. The fuel pump on 1988-90 Omni's are located in the gas tank because they use fuel injection. Pre-1988 Omni's use a carburetor and therefore have the mechanical fuel pump mounted on the front of the engine.
A carburetor is found in an internal combustion engine. The purpose of the carburetor is to blend fuel and air.
