too much anti freeze has nothing to do with heater. but you should always keep the antifreeze level under the MAX indicator on the reservoir because you need the space for the heated antifreeze to expand and to siphoned back when it's cooled down.
yes.
Heater box drain It is just below the heater hose conections, If the heater core leaks it drains the coolant outside to keep the carpet dry.
Your heater core has a hole in it. Antifreeze is leaking out and evaporating onto the cold windshield and glass areas.
To keep the water hot longer. Saves on heating costs.
The polished surface at the back of a heating rod in a room heater helps to reflect heat back into the room instead of allowing it to escape through the back of the heater. This increases the heating efficiency of the heater and helps to keep the room warm. This reflection of heat can also help to distribute the heat more evenly throughout the room.
Heating your home with candles is not recommended as it can be a fire hazard. Candles are designed for ambiance and not for heating purposes. It is safer to use a proper heating system such as a furnace or space heater to keep your home warm.
Sounds like a leak.
Antifreeze would be required if the home is not adequately insulated or there are spaces where cold air has access to the pipes such as holes in the walls or floors. Also, if a wood stove is operating, the rooms' thermostat will not call for heat so the pipes can freeze up and burst when thawing out. Should the home be used infrequently during winter months, it is not a bad idea to have antifreeze put in the heating system unless you are prepared to make sure the home is heated and have a plan in place in case power is lost.
It's either stopped up (no heat) or leaking. If leaking you will smell antifreeze (sweet sickening smell) and it might fog up your windshield with the defroster on. Leaking alot, the carpet is wet. Keep an eye on the antifreeze level.
Yes. Connect the two heater core hoses going into the firewall together and bypass the heater core altogether. Cut a piece off a metal broomstick about 4 inches long and attach each end of the hoses to the cut tube and tighten the hose clamps. You'll have no heat in the car but the antifreeze will still keep your engine from over heating. Fix the heater core as soon as possible.
Matter fact, its GREAT for you. As long as your flesh is warming in a stable and controlled heating environment, its safe! Keep things such as covers, clothes, rags, etc away from the heater though. Enjoy!
A leaking water heater can be very dangerous and should not be used if it is leaking. Also, you should clean the leakage and keep it away from any other electronics.
