flush the radiator if that don't the work water pump is going out
low oil low radiatio flued or the thermistat
Type your answer here... your cooling may be not working and you might have a partially plugged radiator
Some vehicles have higher RPM's (Rotations per minutes) causing them to run at higher temperatures at low speeds. In stop and go situations, you are using low gears at low speeds, causing the engine to work harder. These types of vehicles would be better for high speed commuting where stopping and going frequently is not a problem.
The problem you seem to be having is the cooling temp sensor. It controls the fan speed which has two speeds. Try that.
Try replacing radiator cap Is cooling fan working? Make sure radiator is not plugged or dirty Check coolant level water pump
No it has only one speed. I suggest you do a complete cooling system maintenance. Drain the coolant and flush the system. Replace the thermostat, and clean the front of the radiator and remove all bugs and debris. Install a 50/50 mixture of the proper coolant and distilled water. Bleed all air from the system. Do not allow this engine to overheat or you will have serious trouble.
I am guessing that you have restricted air flow or partialy plugged radiator. I bet that if you let it sit and idle for any length of time it will overheat then as well. you may try flushing your radiator and checking for damage or somthing blocking the air flow.
Definately avoid driving at high speeds, and get it in to see a mechanic to see what is going on. It might be nothing, but it could be something serious.
A faulty head gasket can cause a coolant loss which will cause an overheat. Exhaust getting into the water jacket will cause it to overheat very quickly. 5 minutes, 10 miles. With it cold, take the radiator cap off and start the car. Water should shoot out the radiator a couple of feet high.
also it keeps turning off ,you put water in the reserve and several minutes later it's gone even when the radiator is full. It also makes this High pitched sound(like when a belt is going out that kind of sound),
possibly you have a leaking cooling line from your trans cooler or radiator
