Yes. While hydroplaning there is no load on the drive wheels.
On a 1994 Buick LaSabre why does the engine continue to rev up while driving even when the brake is applied ? or when driving why doesn't the engine return to idle when the brake is applied? I would check for a vacuum leak
The engine computer is the rev limiter. You would need a devise capable of reprogramming the engine computer.
start the engine and press the gas pedal while it is in park
malfunction? Did you turn the car off?
The rev limiter is part of the engine computer programming. The computer would need reprogrammed to change the rev limiter.
Rev Like to rev an engine
that is impossible. "rev" is short for "revolve", RPM stands for revolutions per minute. your engine cannot rev without increasing the rpm's. the only thing i could think of that would resemble rev's would be a bad fan clutch which would make your fan spin erratically. newer vehicles use electric fans which could also resemble "rev's".
dont rev the engine to much dont rev the engine to much
same bolt up on the qg18 but this engine would over rev the qg16 tranny however it would work for long while

I had this problem, I had a faulty TPS sensor
Could be caused by load placed on engine by A/C compressor
