Probably the fuel pressure sensor malfunctioning...
i have a 1994 eclipse with a 1.8 we replaced the head gasket and timeing belt now it sputters at low rpms an the check engine light is on what could be th problem ?
Until the problem causing the check engine light to go on is fixed. It might not be the gas cap, or the one you replaced it with could be wrong.
have you checked the oil if not do so it could be that m8 or the water could not have clean water to cool the engine check it out . have you checked the oil if not do so it could be that m8 or the water could not have clean water to cool the engine check it out .
Check the O2 sensor.
The check engine light comes on when you turn the key to the on position to show you that it is not burnt out. If it doesn't come on for that brief period then the bulb just needs to be replaced.
If the check engine light does not flash when in the diag mode, the problem is the computer. Could be as simple as a failed lamp driver but a failed computer is toast and will need to be replaced/
bat motor mounts cause the shaking a knock sensor realizing its shaking is the light get new mounts
It could.It could.
Does the (check engine )stay lit when you start from cold if not then check the engine oxygen sensor may need replacing or the turbo has been replaced and could be blowing out the spark
There a number of things depending on the age of the engine. The sparkplugs of an older engine could be poorly gapped, fouled or just need to be replaced. The problem could also be the distributor cap could also be the problem. In a newer car the problem could be injecters or any number of sensers. In any car the problem could be wires.
Is this a Ford? (have had some problems by not using factory rebuilts)Check alternator outputShould read approx. 12.8 without engine runningShould read 13.8-14.2 with engine running
i have the same problem i replaced the coolant temp sensor to get my check engine light to go off but it could be a number of things the brake light means you have a problem with the brake system but i have hared that the light sticks and is a common problem with blazers in the late eighties and early nineties models
