More then likely, your thermostat is sticking. When this happens, your car tends to overheat. If you turn on you heat, it keeps your car from overheating for a little longer then if you left it off. If you see your car is starting to get hot, turn on your heater, but try to get to wherever you needed to go, or to the nearest trustworthy mechanic.

The reaction is said to be endothermic (draws heat in from the surroundings)
you heat the bottom of the flask. as temperature goes up, the volume will go down and push the egg out.
When matter absorbs heat, its temperature generally increases. The extent of the temperature increase will depend on factors such as the amount of heat absorbed, the specific heat capacity of the material, and its mass.
Heat reduces the viscosity. 5w-20 is 5 when cold-20 when hot. Lower no. is thicker.
The temperature differences - if the water temperature is cooler than the temperature of your hand, your hand will lose heat to the water. Furthermore, when the remaining droplets of water on your hand evaporate, it will also take some of the heat it absorbed from your hand.

heat is considered a position of higher temperature.... Temperature on the hand is only a measure of a heat condition
Heat is a form of thermal energy. It flows whenever there's a temperature difference, so it goes from your hand to any cooler object you touch, such as ice cream.
Perhaps the knob is on upside down? On my oven the knobs are removeable, you just pull it off.
Energy in heat transfer always goes from the object with higher temperature to the object with lower temperature. Heat naturally flows from areas of high temperature to areas of low temperature until thermal equilibrium is reached.
The hammer absorbs heat from the sun, raising its temperature. When you pick it up, heat is transferred from the hotter hammer to your hand, which is at a lower temperature, causing your hand to feel warmer due to the heat transfer.
