"superman" or "batman" style capes? no.

but many medieval fashions were particularly flamboyant, and there were many styles of garment worn over armour, partly to protect the wearer, partly for looks. In medieval Germany, for instance, there were cloak-like garments called waffenrock, which have billowing sleeves, and there were similar fabric peices worn on helmets. Illustrations from manuscripts clearly show such fantastically-dressed knights on horseback, with polished and golden armoures, with brightly coloured fabrics billowing behind them as they ride.

So, although in detail they do not have capes, they certainly had clothing which looks similar.
