How do you get Merlin on Astro Knights Island?

The robot owl Merlin is in Mordred's underground lab (under the hay bales in the field). He will fly out when you open it. Feed him the robot mouse and he will follow you.

To get the key :

1. Get the secret message from the maid's room in the castle
2. Go to the mill and talk with the girl up in the hay loft. Get the Cosmic Symbols card.
3. Go to the plaque on the village fountain and press the three symbols, and the sun.
4. Get the key from the secret society.

To get the mouse, find the moldy cheese in the dungeon and feed it to the mouse in the maid's bedroom in the castle (first floor left). When you open the lab under the hay bales, and feed the owl, it will follow you around, in the mill area and into space.

The Binary Bard is revealed as Mordred.

To solve the puzzle, you have to press 10 of the panels exactly once each. They are arranged in 5 rows of four cards each. The easiest way is to press each of the 4 cards in the 2nd row exactly once (in any order). Then press only the middle two cards of the 3rd row. Then press each of the 4 cards in the 4th row. (for a numbered version see below)

The puzzle door is made of twenty panels; 4 in each row, and 5 rows. Numbered from upper left they are:

Press the following panels: 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16. As long as you press each one of the cards in the 2nd and 4th rows, and the middle ones of the 3rd row, the result is the same.

Due to a flaw in the game program, you can begin the final battle WITHOUT solving the door. When you arrive, ignore the "Princess" and select "enter" instead, which bypasses the puzzle. (This doesn't help if you've already talked to the "Princess".) The only advantage to NOT playing the door puzzle on Astro Knights Island is that you get to KEEP the three mystical weapons in your items (but you can't use them).

The key to the underground lab (between the hay bales) is in the secret chamber under the fountain.

1. Get the secret message from the Maid's room (castle first floor, to the left)
2. Take it to the girl at the mill (upstairs) to get the password
3. Go to the fountain, on the brass plaque. Press the 3 symbols and the sun.
4. Get the key from the hooded fellow at far right.

To find Merlin on Astro Knights Island in Poptropica, you need to go to Merlin's house in the Medieval Era, which is located near the bottom left side of the main street. Enter the house and talk to Merlin to get important information and items needed to progress in the island quest.
