First, think about the person's positive qualities.

Second, think about the kind of event. A Mother's Day Tribute would be different than a birthday Tribute.

Third, pick 2 or 3 qualities that best match the type of event.

Fourth, write from your heart. If you do not have positive feelings about the person, think of someone else you admire or love and write it to 'that' person first. Then, re-write it, substituting the name of who you wanted to write about.

A tribute should be short, no more than 1 page or so.
