the Templars
By characters, you probably mean templars. Templars are the assassins that Desmond sees in Ezios memory. You will get an assassination contract to assassinate the templar. You can also play as several Templars in the multiplayer of Brotherhood.
He worked as an Assassin against the Templars.
Templars are soldiers from the crusades yes. they were in assassins creed because they want power that only the assassin's know about like the "apple of eden"
No, but he kills Lucy Stillman at the end since she works for the templars.
Assassin's Creed 1 is where you are an Egyptian Assassin (Altiar Ibn-La'Ahad) who is assassinating Templars which thus answers you're question of YES AND NO since the FIRST one is based on the Crusades but 2 and Brotherhood AREN'T
You must train your recruits to level 10 and then you are given the ability to assign them to a den that you took over from the Templars. After you assign an assassin, a mission unlocks.
The Assassin's Creed Series is about a man called Desmond Miles who ran away from his parents and went to a place called 'The Farm' and was raised as a modern day assassin there. A few years later, Desmond is captured by these people called the Templars which are Desmond's enemies in the game and the 'Templars' are looking for certain objects called the 'Pieces of Eden'. At the start of the first Assassin's Creed game you start in a machine in the 'Animus' which has the ability to project Desmond's mind into his ancestors i.e; 'Altair Ibn-Al Ahad' who lives in Israel & Syria which is the person you play as. At the start of Assassin's Creed 2 your friend Lucy Stillman (Also and Assassin) frees you from the hands of the Templars and takes you to the Assassin's first hideout which has another machine called the 'Animus 2.0' and two other assassin's whose names I have forgotten. In the Animus 2.0 you play as 'Ezio Auditore Da Firenze in Italy'. During Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Desmond & co. have been compromised by the Templars and drive to there second hideout which they call 'The Cabin'. when you once again get into the Animus 2.0 you play as Ezio where you left off at the end of Assassin's Creed 2. That is all the information I can tell you or else i will ruin the story for you but if you want to find out buy the game!
If you mean the game, and if you mean the assassins, then it is Al Mualim (translated to "the teacher"). If you mean the templars, then it is Robert IV de Sable.
? They're the Templars. They basically want to rule the entire universe by exploiting the powers of the Pieces of Eden. They are evil.
In the first assassin's creed a man named Desmond is captured and brought to a company called Abstergo. Abstergo goes into the man's mind and accesses the man's ancestor- an assassin. You play as the assassin and you must kill 9 people after being demoted to redeem yourself. Another person: Abstergo is also another word for Templars
