An autobiography is someone's life story written by the person who lived it. Night by Elie Wiesel and The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls. It is normally written in the first-person. (I walked to the store, etc.)
A biographical sketch is generally short and highlights key events and achievements. A biography, on the other hand, is much fuller and should (generally) cover the person's whole life as far as possible
