Replace your heater selector switch
This could be due to a couple of things. The temperature switch is bad, the AC selector switch is bad, the AC compressor is not engaging when you turn the air on, or the AC system needs to be recharged. FriPilot
To replace the AC heater selector switch, first disconnect the vehicle's battery to ensure safety. Remove the trim panel surrounding the switch, usually secured with clips or screws. Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the switch and then remove the switch itself from the dashboard. Install the new switch by reversing the process: connect the wiring harness, secure the switch in place, and reattach the trim panel. Finally, reconnect the battery and test the switch.

Your AC switch may not be working properly due to a faulty connection, a malfunctioning switch, or an issue with the electrical system. It is recommended to have a professional inspect and repair the switch to ensure proper functioning of your air conditioning system.
Yes, a faulty ignition switch can prevent your air conditioning (AC) from working. The ignition switch controls the electrical systems in your vehicle, including the AC system. If the switch is malfunctioning, it may not provide power to the AC components, leading to a failure in operation. However, if the AC itself has other issues, such as a refrigerant leak or compressor failure, the ignition switch would not be the cause.
