The GM LS4 engine, a 5.3-liter V8, is generally reliable but has a few common issues. Owners have reported problems with oil leaks, particularly from the valve covers and oil pan. Additionally, some may experience premature wear of the timing chain and tensioner. Regular maintenance and inspections can help mitigate these issues.
Your going to need the proper wiring harness to make this work. Aftermarket harnesses are available and would spend the money for it as this is a great swap using the LS3
Gonna need to know what size engine and what year.
Gm used a short piston skirt on this year. The knock is piston slap that normally goes away when engine warms up. Sounds bad, but should not cause any problems.
The 2000 and 2001 Intrigue motors are it. The 02s are not completely the same, and the engine is so different from any other V6 GM made..
In GM trucks or new GM cars, the 8th digit of the VIN # is the Engine.
GM?
yes you shouldent have any problems check the piston dish cc to be shure (see if they look the same)
About any GM will go However if it has computer the engine must match.
10248880 Engine
Yes it will with no problems.
Any GM 350 small block head will fit. It all depends on what you want the engine to do. Stay away from aluminum heads if they get to hot they can warp. If we are talking about a genuine Olds engine, it will not interchange with any other GM 350 engine. There are some pretty good heads available from Edelbrock.
Call a service center at any GM dealer. They will know.
