Most mirrors are attached with screws on the outside of the door. Otherwise you have to take the door panel off to get to the nuts.

To replace the passenger side door mirror on a 2004 Buick LeSabre, start by removing the interior door panel. This typically involves taking out screws and gently prying off clips. Once the panel is removed, disconnect the electrical connector for the mirror. Then, unscrew the old mirror from the outside of the door and attach the new mirror, reconnect the electrical connector, and reassemble the door panel.
