If the snow isn't removed from the roads in winter, cars don't have any traction. This means they can slide when they turn or brake, and that causes accidents. If the snow is too high, it can block views of the road and cause people to walk into oncoming traffic or cause cars to collide. Deep snow will prevent a vehicle from being able to move, sort of like driving into a wall.
It could be a number of things. Check your brake pads, e-brake cable(if it's winter and snow has melted into the downward curve by the tires they may cause your brakes to lock and seize, which makes the light come on. WD40 fixed this for me.), see if your pistons are resetting... There could be other things causing it too but those are good enough to start.

Snow - is simply frozen raindrops !
Freezing rain and heavy snow cause power failures by building up on overhead power lines, overburdening them. They either snap the line from the weight or come loose from their connectors to the poles and come down.
Yes, eating snow can cause dehydration because the body uses energy to melt the snow, which can lead to a decrease in hydration levels.
