speed control sensor is bad
Sort of- not to the car but you will loose the Anti-lock braking system (abs) which could make the car more dangerous to drive.
When the mass air flow sensor is bad you will have a rich smell in you car. Additionally, your car will consume more gas as you drive it.
Yes, it can cause drive-ability problems at all speeds under all conditions.
When you have a bad oxygen sensor your car may consume a lot of gas. Your car may also drive slower.
Possibly depending on the car and trans type, vehicle speed can be a major component in shifting strategy.
The trans is electronically shifted so the sensor being bad is a likely cause.
yes..a bad oxygen sensor can/will make your car stall at idle speed
Safe, yes, smart, no. Damage can occur to the Catalytic Converter.
Answersame problem I have.I think throtle position sensor and speed sensor can cause thise problem.try first any adjustment on throtle sensor then speed sensor. may be both wear out.A faulty ABS speed sensor can give you those symptoms. Just to eliminate the possibility, remove the ABS fuse and take it for a test drive. If the problem goes away you have found the problem.
Depending on which sensor is bad the engine may run like crap and the check engine light should be on.
There are two speed sensors for this car. One is located in the transmission an the transmission needs removed to replace it. An the other sensor is located right above the passenger side trans axle "CV Shaft". This one tells the car when to shift an also tell the car's speedometer what to read. if this one is bad it will cause the car to shift hard an sometimes not at all. it will act like its stuck in first gear an not want to shift into second or over drive.
