Yes there are quite a few inspection facilities in NY.
I live in ny am buying a car in pa. how do you get it registered and inspected in ny?
If you're keeping it registered in NY, a VA inspection won't be accepted.
if ny reports it to nc it will. NC cooperates with almost all the states.
if you are not a Florida resident then register car in New York and put the tags and registration sticker on car when returning to Florida. remember to get the vehicle inspected if taking car to ny otherwise you will receive tickets for no inspection. if vehicle stays in fl then don't sweat the inspection. as for the insurance take the policy in the state that it is registered.
Dont ask me, i think yes.
From what I gather, sales tax is paid in the state in which the car is ultimately registered. I just bought a car in NY state, but unfortunately it looks like I have to pay NJ sales tax, which is slightly higher. Dang it.
Stem, NC
Well it's not a moving violation which is good. I would still pay the ticket the only thing it will affect is your ability to register a car in NY. If we were talking about a moving violation then I would say yes, it can affect you insurance. If you don't pay it will continue to grow and you will owe the state of NY a great deal of money.
If a person is caught in NY driving an uninspected vehicle the cost can be a little over $200, depending on court fees and taxes. However, the person can also have the car inspected and many times the charges will be dropped.
